Part B – Question 3

3. For the purpose of this question, we are going to view your first blog post (Part “B” Question #1) as an introductory online campaign. Please answer the following questions:

a. What is your intended goal and why? (3 marks)

The intended goal of my introductory online campaign is to inform potential consumers about my business, as well as its core beliefs, intentions, and types of products it will sell. This is my primary goal for the campaign as it is the introduction to the brand for all consumers. How I position ThriftedThreads from the beginning will have a strong effect on how the brand is perceived by site viewers.

b. Who are you writing for and why? (3 marks)

I am writing for my target audience specifically (outlined in my business plan for SEO) as they are the most likely to resonate with the brand and its beliefs. Strategic language is used to appeal to those with strong feelings about sustainability and reducing their carbon footprints. I am targeting this demographic as they are young people with strong emotions and are also more likely to act based on these emotions due to their age. This leads me to believe they will be more likely to attach themselves to the brand and create more conversions.

c. What type of “Experience” will you be creating for the visitors? Please explain and justify your reasoning. (2 marks)

I am creating a kind, welcoming experience for visitors. The colours and copy used will be lighthearted while still solidifying the company and its core values in consumers’ heads. The campaign itself will be engaging and upbeat. I am designing it to leave consumers with a happy, accomplished feeling. The user experience of the site and social media posts will be optimal as it will be laid out in an “F” pattern and contain important information without being boring for the typical user.
